Coconut Lodge's serene gardens and attentive therapists earn consistent praise from guests. However, some reviews have noted colder-than-usual treatment rooms in some instances.
Most guests praise the welcoming staff and hearty food, appreciating the peaceful setting and spacious rooms. However, recent visits have revealed cleanliness gaps in bathrooms and bedrooms, along with maintenance concerns that undercut the otherwise friendly welcome.
Guests describe a calm, peaceful visit from the moment they walk in. Some call the spa clean and deeply relaxing. Couples and mother-daughter visitors describe it as a special treat. Several reviewers call the prices reasonable. The spa averages 4.8 stars across 664 Google reviews. Staff get the most praise. Named staff include Lerato, Lucy, Thato, Ole and Gontse. Hot stone and full body massages stand out. Guests also enjoy the heated indoor pool, steam room, sauna and salt room. One guest says the team pays close attention to every detail.
Most visits result in genuine relaxation and skilled therapist work, with staff warmth standing out. Specific therapists like Angel, Phindile and Skylar earn repeat praise for attentiveness. However, gaps in follow-through have cost long-time customers: acrylic nails failed within days, treatments ran short of booked time, and complaints were met with dismissal rather than solutions. The experience varies notably between individual therapists and across visits.
